The Senior Automation Test Engineer will lead the implementation of test automation across UI, API, and backend systems. This position requires strong technical skills, a disciplined approach to quality, and the ability to align with fast-moving development cycles. The role involves working closely with developers, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver stable, reliable software with precision and speed.

What This Role Will Drive

    Test Automation and Quality Validation

• Develop automation scripts using Python for both UI and API validation
• Implement testing frameworks with PyTest and Playwright for comprehensive coverage
• Perform API testing and investigate failure points with precision
• Execute backend validations through structured database queries
• Build and maintain test cases aligned to functional requirements
• Manage patch testing, production release cycles, and defect lifecycle tracking

Collaboration and Agile Delivery

• Coordinate with development and business teams to understand testing needs and timelines
• Participate in Agile sprint activities and contribute to team velocity
• Demonstrate working deliverables through demos and progress reviews
• Integrate automation suites with Jenkins to support continuous testing workflows

Preferred Profile

• 8+ years of professional experience in test automation with hands-on Python scripting
• Strong experience with Selenium and Playwright for UI automation
• Proficiency in PyTest framework and API testing using Rest Assured
• Solid understanding of database querying and backend validation
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test case design, and defect management
• Experience in patch testing and production release readiness
• Exposure to Agile delivery environments and familiarity with sprint ceremonies
• Working knowledge of Jenkins for test integration and automation pipeline setup
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
