Summary/Objective
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for performing the automation development, ci/cd pipelines, code releases, and combining and understanding of both engineering and coding. From creating and implementing systems software to analyzing data to improve existing ones, a DevOps Engineer increases productivity in the workplace. The DevOps Engineer reports to the Director – of Cloud and Digital QA.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
- Work across teams to ensure high productivity, reliability, and scalability of applications
- Develop metrics and KPIs to quantify product quality and engineering efficiency
- Design & develop CI/CD pipelines & ensure source code control management.
- Perform architectural/code review & validation, code deployment, etc in phased releases
- Provide suggestions for potential projects that can bring impactful results
Competencies
- Experience with DevOps tools like GitLab & Git-Runner, Tekton.dev, ArgoCD, Argo Workflow,
- GitHub Actions, Keptn, etc. (experience on all tools is not necessary since they all are similar in concepts).
- Experience in Container build tools like kaniko, scaffold, buildkit, docker, podman, , buildpack, skaffold,
- tilt, runc, docker buildx, etc. (experience on all tools is not necessary since they all are similar in concepts).
- Experience or exposure to Hashicorp Vault, Terraform, Packer, etc.
- Experience or exposure to Crossplane , Pulumi, Ansible, Helm, Helm-Charts, etc.
- Kubernetes operator development, Kubernetes custom API development, Kubernetes custom
- resource definitions development, Kubernetes Admission controllers & webhooks development, etc. is a plus.
- Experience in writing Kernel Functions using eBPF and/or WebAssembly using GoLang or Rust is a plus.

- cluster, multi-region, multi-zone, hybrid-clusters, on-premise, etc. (hands-on on all of these is not mandatory. The more tools you are experienced with, the better).
