Enabling Access to Multiple Enterprise applications from a Single Point of Entry

About The Client:  

The client is a leading provider of reloadable prepaid debit cards and related financial services in the United States and serves an estimated 60 million consumers who do not have a traditional bank account or who rely on alternative financial services.  Today’s “out of the box” Application Desktop Integrator does not work with SSO, Oracle does not provide standard tools to allow one to change the standard/user responsibility, and the customer did not have the luxury of time, resources, or budget to upgrade to Web ADI and Report Manager, the solution most highly recommended by Oracle. 

Business Need: 

The business issues for this particular Oracle customer involved an Application Desktop Integrator (ADI), as well as iSetup and iProcurement, which were not supported in a Single Sign environment. Further, the client needed an automated data cleansing process for their Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) to eliminate accounts for unnecessary data (desk phones, printers, etc.). This information had to be eliminated to integrate only the data relevant to their Oracle Internet Directory (OID).

  • Solution integrated users with appropriate location in Oracle E-Business Suite
